Color on the Walls Mural Activity

Preschoolers love coloring . . . especially on walls or any other surface you’d rather they didn’t. Now your preschooler can color on the walls with your blessing, so to speak. Attach a piece of butcher paper to some empty wall space, and let your little Picasso get to work on a colorful mural. The color on the walls mural activity is certain to excite preschoolers and spark their artistic creativity. And moms will love the fact that all the color is going right onto the paper!

What You Will Need

White Butcher Paper

Masking Tape

Markers

Crayons

What to Do

Step 1:

Tape a long sheet of butcher paper onto the hallway wall or in another large area.

Step 2:

Arm your preschooler with some crayons and/or markers and let them scribble, doodle, draw and decorate the paper, creating a colorful mural.

Step 3:

Let your preschooler save his/her mural with other special keepsakes he/she has tucked away. Preschoolers will enjoy taking out the mural and admiring their artwork from time to time. They’ll especially get a kick out of looking at the mural when their all grown up!

More Color on the Walls Mural Activity Fun

*Leave the butcher paper up for a few days and let each member of the family contribute some artwork when the mood strikes them.

*The color on the walls mural makes a great party activity. Have party guests draw pictures and write messages for the birthday boy or girl. Be sure to save the mural as a cherished birthday keepsake
