Halloween Countdown Calendar Activity
How many more days until Halloween? Is it time for trick-or-treating yet? Your preschooler can count down to the big day with Preschool Activities’ fun Halloween countdown calendar activity. Glue a “tissue paper flower” to the special pumpkin countdown calendar each day until Halloween. The Halloween countdown calendar activity is an exciting way for preschoolers to visualize how close Halloween is and build thrilling anticipation for the holiday festivities.
What You Will Need 
Green Tissue Paper
Orange Tissue Paper
White Glue
Pencil
What to Do
Step 1:
Cut out one square (approximately 2” x 2”) of green tissue paper.
Step 2:
Cut out 30 squares of orange tissue paper.
Step 3:
Print out the Halloween countdown calendar.
Step 4:
On October 1, have your preschooler locate the number one on the Halloween countdown calendar.
Step 5:
Help your preschooler wrap an orange square of tissue paper around the bottom of the pencil.
*Note: Use the green square of tissue paper for the circle numbered in green.
Step 6:
Dip bottom of tissue paper covered pencil in a small amount of white glue.
Step 7:
Using the pencil like a stamp, instruct your preschooler to glue it to the number one on the Halloween countdown calendar, creating a 3-D flower effect.
Step 8:
Repeat steps four through seven each day until Halloween, gluing one tissue paper square to the corresponding day. For example: On October 2, glue a square on the number two, and so on until October 31.
On Halloween Day, preschoolers will have a completed pumpkin picture to display in the window!
