Indoor Fun Jar Activity
No matter what’s keeping you and your preschooler indoors – weather, your budget or simply no place to go – the indoor fun jar activity will help you transform an ordinary home into an extraordinary world of amusements, making around the house boredom obsolete. The indoor fun jar is filled with tons of fun and imaginative activities for your preschooler to choose from on “indoor” days. Reserved for mom’s “special” indoor occasions, the indoor fun jar is certain to facilitate family bonding and build treasured childhood memories.
Activity Time for Mom
The indoor fun jar activity is actually two activities in one. Before your preschooler can enjoy hours of fun compliments of the indoor fun jar, mom needs to craft it.
Crafting an indoor fun jar is fun way to spend an afternoon with the girls. It also makes a neat mom’s group activity.
What You Will Need to Craft an Indoor Fun Jar
Medium or Large Size Jar ![]()
(If you’re recycling a jar, make sure to completely remove any existing labels.)
2" x 4" adhesive address label
Colorful Stickers
Ribbon or Raffia
Scissors
Glue
What to Do
Step 1:
Print out the list of indoor activities. 
Step 2:
Cut out each activity.
Step 3:
Fold each activity paper in half. Set aside.
Step 4:
Print out the indoor fun jar label on the adhesive label paper.
Step 5:
Adhere your indoor fun jar label to the center of your jar.
Step 6:
Decorate your jar with the stickers.
Step 7:
Tie a piece of ribbon or raffia around the lid of your jar. Affix the ribbon/raffia with glue.
Step 8:
Put your activity papers into the jar.
How to Use Your Indoor Fun Jar
Now that your indoor fun jar has been crafted, it’s time for your preschooler to have some fun! The next time the indoor blues strike, bring out the special jar and let your preschooler reach his/her hand inside to pull out a “surprise” activity for the day!
