What You Need
The following stuffed or toy animals (or similar comparable one: dragon, crocodile, spider, tiger, bear, lion and gorilla.
The following places to hide the animals (or comparable as told in the book): a doorstep, closet, attic, toy chest, bedroom, laundry area, garage and outside.
Step 2: Take the stuffed or toy animals and hide them in the same or similar areas as told in the book.
Step 3: With your preschooler(s), read the book aloud and have them find and hide the animals in the same sequence as is done in the book.
What sound does a dragon make? Do you hear the bells in the background too? Spend some time just listening to the CD version of A Dragon on the Doorstep to answer these and many more questions your preschooler may have about this story.
